Being an Interior Designer in the Scottsdale/Phoenix area is amazing. There are so many different showrooms available for endless design inspiration and hidden gems that make this designer giddy. I thought it would be fun to spotlight some of my favorite showrooms to shop at. This post is one in a series of my Scottsdale/Phoenix Interior Design Spotlight. So be sure to check back for future Spotlights.
First on the list… Kravet, or what my two girls refer to as moms’ happy place.
Kravet, Inc, was established in 1918 and is a fifth-generation family business that distributes fabrics, furniture, wall coverings, trimmings, carpets and accessories. Their showroom is located in the Scottsdale Design District at 2728 North 68th St., Suite 1, Scottsdale, AZ. Kravet is one of many showrooms located within the Scottsdale Design District.
Kravet is the industry leader for Designers and their clients. With the wide range of fabrics from all of the world, the possibilities are endless and only limited to your imagination. The best part for you is we can create that unique piece of furniture or drapery that’s not found in any store, and you’ll be the envy of all your friends. After all, you want a room that is unique to you and your personality, not to the store where you bought it from. If you want unique, you can find that with two of their main manufacturers; Lee Jofa and Brunschwig & Fils.
Founded in 1823, Lee Jofa has a beautiful English flare with a wide range of styles, including contemporary designs from Groundworks, classic choices from GP & Baker and a new collection from Lilly Pulitzer.
Founded in France in 1880 as a tapestry-weaving mill, Brunschwig & Fils has grown into the most prestigious source of exclusive fabrics, wallpapers, trimmings, furniture, and carpet. It’s bold and colorful prints will brighten up any room.
The Kravet showroom carries a total of 17 different manufacturers, importers and artisans from around the world, including Ralph Lauren Home and Mulberry Home. So, no matter what your style is, we can find exactly what you are looking for to complete your space. As a Designer, it’s nice to have all those possibilities at my fingertips, but it can also be very overwhelming. That’s why I love working with Crystal Fritz, the Showroom Manager. She is very knowledgeable and well versed in the entire product line. All I have to do is tell her what I’m thinking about and what the needs of my clients are. She will immediately point me in the right direction and help me pick the perfect fabric for my clients custom drapery or furniture.
In 2015, Kravet Inc. introduced CuratedKravet.com, an e-commerce site offering designers unique furniture and accessories curated from around the globe. And the best part… ready to ship! Which means faster times to put your room together!
If you live in the Scottsdale/Phoenix area, or if you are in town for a visit, check out the Scottsdale Design District. They welcome consumers to browse the Design Showrooms. Stop in at Kravet and be sure to tell Crystal I said “Hi!” If you see something you just have to have, let me know. I’d love to help you out with your shopping and design needs.
